Maggie Light

I'm a writer and teacher in Los Angeles.

I spend my days reading, grading, running, mom-ing, and thinking of ways to make sad stuff funny. I also do some improv and climate activism, often simultaneously. I spend my nights watching Queer Eye while eating my fourth meal. 

 

I got my BA in Theater at University of Virginia. I'm an Assistant Professor of English at Otis College of Art & Design, where I also got my MFA (may that glorious graduate writing program rest in peace).

 

My YA cli-fi romcom, Polar Opposites, is being published by  12 Willows Press in 2026!
